GetFIT App built the "GetFIT App – Protein Tracker" , " Free Calorie Calculator by GetFIT App "and the "GetFIT App – Free Fasting Tracker" as free Chrome extensions. This Privacy Policy explains what data both extensions collect, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Both extensions are designed with privacy as a priority. No account is required, and no login is needed to use either tool. Any data you enter is saved locally on your device using Chrome's local storage and is never sent to external servers. You can remove this data at any time by clearing the extension's stored data in your browser settings.

GetFIT App – Protein Tracker

The Protein Tracker collects only the information you directly enter into the extension, including:

• Body statistics such as weight, height, gender, activity level, and fitness goal
• Foods you log and their macro nutritional values
• Your daily protein and calorie targets calculated from your inputs

GetFIT App – Free Fasting Tracker

The Fasting Tracker collects only the information generated by your use of the timer, including:

• Your selected fasting protocol or custom fast duration
• Fast start times, pause durations, and end times
• Your completed and partial fasting history (stored locally as a log)
• Your notification preferences (completion alerts, milestone alerts)

This information is used solely to provide the core timer, history, and reminder functionality of the extensions.

Free Calorie Calculator by GetFIT App

The Free Calorie Calculator collects only the information you directly enter into the extension, including:

• Body statistics such as weight, height, age, gender, activity level, and fitness goal
• Your selected calorie goal preference (weight loss, maintenance, or muscle gain)
• Calculated calorie targets, macronutrient targets, BMR, and TDEE values
• Saved calculation history and previous calculation logs stored locally on your device
• User preferences and locally stored settings

This information is used solely to provide calorie, macro, and nutrition calculation functionality within the extension.

How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API.

This means:

• Your data remains stored locally on your device.
• GetFIT App does not have access to your stored information.
• No data is transmitted to any external server or database.
• No account or login is required to use either extension.

Permissions Used

Both extensions use the following Chrome permissions strictly to function:

• storage — Used to save your nutrition data, fasting logs, goals, and settings locally on your device.
• alarms — Used by the Fasting Tracker to schedule milestone and completion notifications even when the popup is closed.
• notifications — Used to send optional browser reminders (protein tracking nudges or fasting milestone/completion alerts).

These permissions operate entirely on your device and do not transmit personal data to any server.

Data We Do NOT Collect

The GetFIT App Chrome Extensions do not collect, transmit, or share:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Browsing history or activity on other websites
• Location data
• Payment or financial information
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Any personal information beyond the data you manually enter or generate within the extensions

Notifications

• Protein Tracker: May send periodic browser notifications reminding you to track your protein intake.
• Fasting Tracker: May send milestone notifications (e.g., "50% complete") and fast completion alerts based on your settings.
• Calorie Calculator: No notifications

All notifications are generated and processed entirely on your device. No external servers are involved in triggering or delivering them. You can disable notifications at any time from the Settings tab within each extension.

Data Retention

All data stored by the extensions remains on your device until you:

• Manually delete it using the "Delete" or "Reset" buttons in the Settings tab,
• Clear the extension's data through Chrome's settings, or
• Uninstall the extension.

Uninstalling the extension will permanently remove all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

The GetFIT App Chrome Extensions are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Relationship to the GetFIT App Web Platform

Our Free Chrome extensions are separate, standalone tools from the GetFIT App web platform available at joingetfitapp.com.

• The extensions do not require creating an account and operate independently from the GetFIT App website.
• Any data you enter into the extensions is stored locally on your device using Chrome's local storage and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Data stored in the extensions does not sync with the GetFIT App web platform, and data from the web platform does not transfer to the extensions.
• To access cross-device syncing, cloud backup, and full fitness tracking features, you can create an account on the GetFIT App web platform.
